Established in the year 2000, Gamma Nu (ΓN) is the Ohio University chapter of Alpha Chi Sigma (AXΣ), a co-ed professional chemistry fraternity that aims to bring together students and professionals pursuing a wide variety of chemistry-related careers.
How to Pledge
To become a member of AXE, there is no course requirements. There is no need for you to even be in a chemistry major to join, as long as you have an interest in chemistry.

Every fall and spring semester, AXE hosts information sessions about what being in AXE means, and at these you can decide if you want to join AXE. After expressing interest in joining, you will sign up for an interview with AXE to see if you are a good fit.

If you are decided to be a good fit, you can then go into pledge meetings where you learn the history of AXE and the positions within AXE. If you attend the pledge meetings and make the payment to join, then you can be initiated in.
